Qianqian says about her work: ‘This piece was inspired by the spiral and grid systems in Karen Snouffer 's drawing, vertical and horizontal, solitude and togetherness, alone and not alone.My work is a metaphor for ordinary human interaction. I paint the moments that normally remain unspoken: an internal monologue,an uncomfortable silence, a night of petting a cat. I usually have too much fun naming my paintings, like this one.’ Qianqian is based in San Francisco, CA.
